This qualification is designed for individuals who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).
To be awarded the NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, learners are required to successfully complete all 3 mandatory units.
Unit 01 – Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
Unit 02 – Assess occupational competence in the work environment
Unit 03 – Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

Learners should be aged 19 or over to undertake the qualification
Learners must achieve a minimum of 15 credits to gain this qualification.
All units are internally assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a portfolio of evidence using different range of assessment methods such as Observation, Questioning, Professional Discussion, RPL, Product of Work etc.
Learners can usually complete the qualification within 12 months.
Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement to be able to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
