These qualification is developed for those who currently work, or wish to work in the field of assessment and internal quality assurance. The purpose of this qualification is to confirm competence in an occupational role to the standards required. It is intended for those who lead a team of internal quality assurance staff.
To be awarded the NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, learners are required to successfully complete all 3 mandatory units.
Unit 01 – Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
Unit 02 – Internally assure the quality of assessment
Unit 03 – Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility
This could also be undertaken by –
Learners should be aged 19 or over to undertake the qualification
Learners must achieve a minimum of 17credits to gain this qualification.
All units are internally assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a portfolio of evidence using different range of assessment methods such as Observation, Questioning, Professional Discussion, RPL, Product of Work etc.
Learners can usually complete the qualification within 12 months.
Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement to be able to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

Upon completion, learners can enter either work as a Lead Quality Assurer in a Training Centre or a Higher Education College.
